The place called Lastiver is located in the north-east of Armenia, 3 km from Yenokavan village, Ijevan district, Tavush region, in the wooded gorge of the Khachaghbyur river. The area has been inhabited since ancient times, as evidenced by the local caves. In the 13-14th centuries, the population of the area took shelter from the Mongol invasions in these caves.
