Syunik region is full of cozy nature monuments that are ready to surprise everyone. One of them is located in Lichk village. Despite the fact that the village is located at an altitude of 2000 m, it is surrounded by gardens. Lichk apples and pears are known throughout Armenia. Above the village there are many lakes, water sources, waterfalls, that’s why the locals called it “Lake”. There are historical monuments around the village: the 17th century bridge over the Meghri River, the 17th century church called Jvaravani.
The waterfalls of the same name are among the treasures of the lake. The waterfalls originate from Zvaraget. Starting from the high slopes of the Meghri mountain range, the river creates a cascade of waterfalls in the lower reaches. Surrounded by high cliffs, the waterfalls seem like a band-aid for the nerves. Looking at the seemingly hand-made rocks, you understand that nature is the creator of art. The cascade of waterfalls is also unique in that there are natural pools under each waterfall where you can swim. Due to its high position, the water is indescribably clean.
