MOZROV CAVE

Mozrov Cave, the third largest cave

Mozrov cave is located next to the road leading from Arpi village of Vayots Dzor Region to Mozrov village. This karst cave is considered one of the natural treasures of Armenia. Like the Magil cave, there are also many stalactites and stalagmites here.

Mozrov Cave was opened in 1980 during road construction blasts. While leveling the highway pavement, the builders blasted the limestone mass under which the cave was opened.

The cave is considered the third largest cave in Armenia. It has a depth of about 260 m. It is included in the list of immovable monuments of history and culture of Arpi.
Inside the cave is a great variety of natural geographical formations. It is hard to imagine and believe that it is a creation of nature.

The article was compiled based on observations and materials collected by the ArmLand club.
