One of the most beautiful waterfalls in Armenia is located in Tavush Region – Sharach Waterfall. The waterfall is located in the Miapor mountain range, on the Khndzorut river, which starts at an altitude of about 2000 m and is the only one that is located in the region with its entire stream.
Sharach waterfall descends from a height of about 15 meters and the area of which the locals call Baygush valley.
Sharach waterfall can be reached by hiking, starting from the road leading to Chambarak-Berd. The length of the hike is about 11 km and passes through the beautiful scenery of Miapor mountains and lush vegetation.
