Mount Sartsakatar is located in the Vayots Dzor region. The height according to the maps is 2613 m, but the height recorded by the measuring equipment within the framework of our expedition is 2617 m.
Mount Sartsakatar is located about 6 km to the northeast of the village of Gnishik. From here we start our ascent and, having gained about 600 meters of relative height, we reach the top.
From the top of Sartsakatar mountain, there are wonderful views of Karkatar and Texar mountain ranges, and not far from Sartsakatar is Mount Vardablur, more commonly known as “Wolf’s ears”.
Very suitable for beginner hikers who want to start mountain climbing.
