Armenia is known as the cradle of wine making, for according to legend, the development of wine making in the Armenian valley goes back to bible times, when noah landed on the sacred mountain ararat and planted the first grapes ram on its slopes. Wine became a kind of reward to noah and his family for all the torment and suffering that they overcome during the great flood. Since then, the armenian people honored all winemaking traditions until our days.
