Armland Adventure Club organizes a climb to the highest peak in Europe – Mount Elbrus (5642m).

Try your inner alpinistic spirit with this challenge on mount Elbrus with us! 

 

Climbing difficulty: 1B

Day 1. Yerevan - Georgia - Russia (Azau)

The group will depart from Yerevan to the Armenian-Georgian border, and then, passing through the Lars checkpoint, will enter the Russian Federation and head to the village of Terskol in the Republic of Kabardino Balkaria. We will spend the night in a hotel there.

Duration of the drive: 13-14 hours.

Day 2. Elbrus. First station

In the morning, the group will go to the first cable car station of Elbrus. The group will go up to the station at 3700m by cable car. Heavy backpacks will be handed over here, which will be transported to the second station with offroad mountain cars.
The group will begin the ascent to the second camp.

Overnight at “Priyut11” station.

Day 3. Elbrus. Pastukhov Rocks

Acclimatization

After breakfast, the group will start the acclimatization to the Pastukhov rocks at 4800m and will return to the second station at 4100m for the overnight.

Day 4.Elbrus. Push to the summit

At 12:00-1:00 AM, we will start our ascent to the top of Mount Elbrus (5642m). The ascent will take about 12-13 hours. After reaching the top, we will go down to station 4100 to rest.

Overnight in “Priyut 11”

Day 5. Azau - Stepantsminda

In the early morning, we will go down to Azau village, take a shower and head to Stepantsminda, Georgia, and spend the night in a guest house. The overnight stay in Stepantsminda is thought to provide the group members with the opportunity to rest after a long journey to Yerevan.

Day 6. Back to Yerevan

After a tasty georgian dinner we will head to Yerevan.

Mountain gear
Your hiking gear must include the following essential items:
  • professional mountaineering outwear
  • professional mountaineering boots
  • thermo wear
  • extra warm clothes
  • 2 backpacks (60-70 L and 20-35 L)
  • hiking raincoat
  • sleeping bag (-5 -10 °C)
  • trekking poles
  • climbing harness
  • crampons
  • gaiters
  • 2 pairs of gloves (heated fleece gloves and windproof gloves)
  • carabiners (2x)
  • mountaineering sunglasses
  • winter and summer hats
  • medical kit (first-aid kit)
  • sunscreen (SPF 50+)
  • head torch
  • thermal bottle

IMPORTANT!

Before the ascent, the participants will have a trial ascent to the Western peak of Mount Aragats, after which the participants with sufficient preparation will go to Mount Elbrus.

Before the ascent, the participants will meet with experienced mountaineers at the Federation of Mountaineering and Mountain Tourism, during which a mountain training course will be held.

Depending on weather conditions, one additional overnight stay on the mountain is possible, for which additional fee will be charged.

Our company will help you in choosing the necessary equipment, and in a specialized clothing store that cooperates with us group members will be given discounts.

After climbing all participants will be given certificates for climbing Mount Elbrus from Armland Adventure Club and Alpinism Federation of Armenia.
