Armland Adventure Club organizes individual ascents to the Eastern Peak of Mount Aragats (3916m). Aragats is an extinct volcano, as a result of the eruption four peaks were formed. The second highest is the western one.
The starting point of the route is the Gegharot waterfall at an altitude of 3000 m.
A rocky path leads to the top of the mountain. Throughout the hike from the south, the mysterious Ararat accompanies, which is sometimes lost in the fog. From the top there is a beautiful view of the crater and the other three peaks.
The name of the mountain “Aragats” (Ara, -gah-throne) in translation from Armenian means the throne of Ara the Beautiful. Namely, Mount Ara is located nearby.
