n the morning after the breakfast you will start your trip to Kotayk region – Geghard village. From here you will start you unforgettable trekking in Geghama Volcani range.
Geghama Ridge is also called Armenian Mars because of the red-orange-ochre colours that match the colours of the Planet Mars so accurately.

Hike to the Dragon Lake. It is a mountain lake of volcanic origin and is located at an altitude of 2620m. There are many dragon stones on the shore of the lake.

Here we will set out tents up.

In the morning you will have breakfast with the most picturesque view you ever had.
After the breakfast we will collect the stuff we have and start to hike.

Hike and ascent to mount Nazeli (3312m).
Lunch on the summit.
Descent from the mountain.

Here comes the most exciting day in Geghama Ridge!
This day we will climb the highest peak of Geghama Volcanic Range – Mt. Azhdahak.

In the morning after the breakfast we will start to hike to Mt. Azhdahak (3597m).
There is a volcanic origin lake on the summit of Azhdahak and you can go the shore after you reach the summit.
There is a fantastic view to the whole Geghama Ridge, Mount Aragats and also to Mount Ararat from the summit of Azhdahak.

Lunch on the summit.

Descent to Lake Akna. This lake of volcanic origins is one of the most beautiful lakes of Geghama ridge. Stop at the lake to take beautiful photos.
After our mountain car will take us directly to the slopes of the highest mountain in Armenia – Aragats.
Dinner. Overnight at the hotel.

In the morning after breakfast we will head to Amberd fortress. It is an ancient medieval city-fortress on the slopes on Mt Aragats at an altitude of 2300m.
Sightseeing.

After we have explored Amberd we will start to hike to another beautiful volcanic origin lake – Lake Kari (3200). It is the largest lake on the slopes of Aragats out of 7 other lakes.
Lunch on the shore of Lake Kari.
Here you can have a walk around the lake, take pictures and enjoy your evening at the campsite.
Dinner. Overnight in tents.

We will start the ascent after the breakfast.
Aragats is a four-headed extinct volcano, the highest point is the Northern Summit (4090m). We will climb the Southern (3889m) and the Western (4001m) summits in one day.
From the summit opens a fantastic view to the huge crater and all other summits of Aragats, to Mt Ara, Geghama Ridge and of course to Mt Ararat.

Descent to Lake Kari.
Back to Yerevan.

Free day to explore Yerevan on your own. You can go for a wine tasting excursion in Ararat / Noy brandy and wine factory, visit the local market for tasty Armenian national sweets or the souvenir market in the city center.
