We will make a long-awaited two-day trip to Syunik, during which we will reach one of the most beautiful parts of Armenia, Lake Tsakkar, hidden in the Zangezur mountains, and also visit the Halidzor fortress and Baghaberd.

Day 1. Yerevan – Baghaberd – Lake Tsakkar

In the morning we leave Yerevan for the Syunik region to the Tsakkar Lake, on the way we will visit the famous medieval fortress of Baghaberd. Continuing our journey, we will reach the Meghri pass, which is located at an altitude of 2535 m, where we will organize an overnight stay in a convenient place.

Day 2. Zangezur mountains – Tsakkar lake – Halidzor – Yerevan

Early in the morning we will start our hike from the Meghri Pass to the Tsakkar Lake in the Zangezur Mountains. The road will pass through the beautiful gorge of the river of the same name, reaching a height of about 3272 meters where the lake is located, which has a glacial origin.

The return is planned along the same route, during which we will also visit the Halidzor fortress, after which we will return to Yerevan.
