Trip overview

This 15 days Nepal tour and trek package is the customized trip itinerary which covers 6 major touristic places of Nepal.

Cultural heritage is the principal identity of the Kathmandu valley, which boasts of ancient temples, religious and cultural artifacts. The landscape of the green hills and the vista of the Himalayas in the surrounding add a sparkle to the attraction of the valley.

Similarly, Pokhara is a natural beauty touristic destination that offers closed view to the majestic Himalayas, lakes and temples. Furthermore it includes a short trek of Ghandruk – Ghorepani trail, during which travelers can experience the spectacular view of Himalayas from Ghandruk and Poonhill along with a cultural experience of the Gurung community of Nepal.

Muktinath temple is one of the popular temples dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Shiva. Devotees visit this temple with the belief of Salvanson from their past deeds. The Muktinath visit will be one of the most memorable moments during the trip.

Chitwan is the paradise of Jungle activities and Tharu culture in Nepal.

Nagarkot will be an addition to your memorable Nepal trip, which offers a beautiful view of sunset, sunrise and surroundings.

Itinerary

Trekking in Nepal
Day 1 Kathmandu Arrival

 Our representative will meet and greet you at Kathmandu Airport and transfer to your hotel.
At. 06:00 PM: A short briefing about your tour program by us at the hotel. If you are arriving late (after 4 PM) then we will have a briefing next morning at 09:00 AM. If there is any payment due, then it will be collected during the briefing time.
Meals: Dinner Included.

Day 2. Drive to Pokhara
(210 KM, Approx. 6-7 hours drive)

At. 08:00 AM: After breakfast, start driving to Pokhara (Approx. 6-8 hours of driving). On the way, you can visit the Manakamana temple by cable car. Also, you can experience river rafting in the Trishuli river.

Meals: Breakfast and Dinner Included.

  • Optional Activity: Cost of Manakamana cable car is not included in the package (USD 20 Per person for two way ride)

Manakamana Temple: a ten minutes cable car ride from a station called Kurintar takes you to the temple of Goddess Manakamana who is believed to have the power to fulfill wishes.

Kurintar is in 104 km from Kathmandu to Pokhara.

Day 3. Drive to Nayapul and trek to Ghandruk

At. 08:00 AM: After breakfas trip to Nayapul from Pokhara (1035 m). The journey is about 1:30 hours by vehicle (approximately 46 km). Further, you cross the bridge across the Madi Khola river and slowly climb up from the River valley to Ghandruk village through the landscaped fields and classic mountain villages.

Ghandruk is a town with a number of lodges, monasteries, temples, and other attractions. This is a popular town in the region of Annapurna. You can have a nice walk in Ghandruk and enjoy a wonderful day in the countryside before you return to the city.

Day 4. From Ghandruk to Tadapani

At. 8:30 AM: After breakfast you will start the trek to Tadapani. It will be a 5-6 hours of uphill walk. You will see a few wildlife, like monkeys walking in the trees if you are lucky. From Tadapani open great views to Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhare.

Day 5. Trek to Ghorepani

At. 07:00 AM: You wake up and have breakfast. Start your moderate walk towards Ghorepani. Remember, the hard work is always rewarded with flashes of the lovely peaks of Annapurna. Later, you will continue walking to Ghorepani for about 3 hours after having lunch.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included.

Day 6. Poon Hill Sunrise trek to Tatopani.

At. 04:00 AM: You get up early for the sunrise walk to Poon Hill which takes approximately 1:30 hours to walk approximately. After an eye-charming view of mountains from Poonhill, walk down to Ghorepani, have your breakfast and start walking down towards Tatopani. It may take 7-8 hours of walking to reach Tatopani though it’s a downhill trail, but two days of camp.

Day 7. Trip to Kaghbeni.

At. 08:00 AM: After having your breakfast at Tatopani, start your drive to Kagbeni, on the way you can explore Rupse Waterfall, Tukuche and Marpha village of Mustang. In the evening visit around the Kagbeni village and you can get acquainted with the locals of Kagbeni.

Day 8. Trek/Drive to Muktinath Temple, Dumba Lake and Jomsom Stay

At. 08:00 AM: After your breakfast at the hotel in Kagbeni, you can start to walk to Muktinath from Kagbeni, after reaching there you can explore the surroundings and trek/drive back to
Jomsom. While returning you can also visit Dumba Lake, near the Jomsom.

Overnight in Jomsom.

Day 9. Drive back to Pokhara
(Flight option is available)

At. 07:00 AM:   After your breakfast you will drive towards Pokhara. On the way you can experience the world’s second highest Bungee jump in Kushma. You will get a leisure evening in Pokhara to explore on your own.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included.

Day 10. Pokhara

After breakfast we will take a small boat to pass the lake to climb the World Peace Pagoda (2 km, 1 hour), then we will walk to the cave and to the Devil’s Fall. Then we will return to the hotel.

Leisure or extra activities are available.
Food, including breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Day 11. Trip to Chitwan
(155 KM, Approx. 4-5 hours drive)

At. 08:00 AM: After your breakfast, proceed to Chitwan (Approx. 4-5 hours of driving).
Upon reaching your resort, check in and have your lunch. Later visit for a village tour and sunset view from Rapti river.

Tharu cultural program will perform in the evening in your resort.

Day 11. Jungle Safari Activities
(Full Day)

At. 08:00 AM: Visit for a full day Jungle activities, like Elephant Safari or Jeep Safari, Canoe Ride, Jungle Walk and Elephant Breeding Center visit at Sauraha. During the activity break you will return to your hotel for lunch.
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner Included.

Chitwan National Park

The park is located in the western part of Kathmandu, 200 km away from the hustling and busy capital city.

It has been serving the world famous jungle safari in Nepal among the visitors. It is also listed on UNESCO as one of the amazing national parks of the world. One Horned Rhino, Royal Bengal Tiger, Gharial Crocodile, Elephant Ride and Bird Watching are the popular activities to do and watch there.

Day 13. Kathmandu, Bhaktapur and Patan Sightseeing.

After breakfast, trek to Bhaktapur, visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square. 
Meal: Breakfast and Dinner Included.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square which is also known as Bhadgaon has 4 major squares: Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square, Dattatreya Square and Pottery Square. Some of the major attractions are Lu Dhoka (The Golden Gate)” which is said to be the most beautiful and richly molded specimen of its kind in the entire world, The Palace of 55 windows and Dattatraye Temple along with some other small temples.

Patan Durbar Square is 5 km southeast of Kathmandu. Major temples are Krishna Temple, Taleju Temple and Bhimsen Temple. Some places to explore there are Patan Museum, Mahaboudha, Kumbeshwor, Keshave Naryan, Vishwanath & Chyasin Dewal and Sundari Chowk. Banglamukhi is one of the famous temples of Devi ( Goddess ) in Kathmandu. The temple of Baglamukhi is situated in Patan (Lalitpur). There are various other small temples inside the Baglamukhi temple premises. People visit this temple mainly on Thursdays as it is considered as the day of Bhagwati.

Day 14. Kathmandu Sightseeing
(Full Day)

At. 10:00 AM: After your breakfast, you will visit for a full day sightseeing of Pashupatinath temple, Boudhanath stupa, Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Once you complete your sightseeing, we will drop you back to your hotel.
Optional Activity: Everest Mountain Flight at 06:00 AM from Kathmandu airport to Kathmandu Airport. (USD 240 Per Person)

Pashupatinath temple is the largest and holiest shrines for Hindus. This temple, situated on the bank of Bagmati river was built in the 5th century. There are around 492 temples, 15 Shivalayas (shrines of Lord Shiva) and 12 Jyotirlinga (phallic shrines) to explore. No entrance fee is charged for SAARC nationals to enter the temple. Although only Hindus are allowed to enter the temple, visitors can clearly see the temple and the activities performed in the temple premises from the eastern bank of the Bagmati river.
Boudhanath is one of the largest stupas in South Asia. It is the center hub of Buddhism in Nepal which is surrounded by hundreds of monasteries. Lichchavi rulers renovated the staple during the 8th century, which was made in the shape of a Mandala.
Swayambhunath is one of the most glorious, holiest and oldest Stupa in the world. It is Located on a small hillock in west Kathmandu hence commands an excellent view of the valley. The stupa was built in 460 A.D. by King Manadeva, is also known by the name “Monkey Temple”.
Kathmandu Durbar Square is one of the three Durbar Squares of Kathmandu Valley. The Malla king Pratap Malla erected the statue of Hanuman (the Hindu god of power) in this place and it was named Hanuman Dhoka. Taleju Temple, Tribhuvan Museum, the house of Kumari (Living Goddess), Kasthamandap, the temple of Kal Bhairav along with few other temples are the places to explore.

Day 15. Transfer to Airport

You can add any sightseeing on an additional basis. Or enjoy your free time. We will transfer you to the Kathmandu airport 3 hours before your flight time. (30 mins drive).

Difficulty

Ghandruk – Ghorepani trek is an easy trek within the Annapurna region. It is the most common and popular trek to experience local culture and view the Annapurna/Dhaulagiri mountain ranges from close up. Anyways, this trail requires hiking/trekking experience.

 

Trekking is strenuous and tiresome. But that’s the beauty of high altitude trekkings. Some of the tips that you can undertake to mitigate the difficulty are provided here.

  • Always plan your trek Don’t rush. Start doing cardio exercises to keep you fit and prepared.
  • Get a A guide has a better idea of the trekking area and is known to the uncertainties and has better handling techniques.
  • Always keep yourself motivated and Altitude Sickness is the major problem that many trekkers encounter in the Annapurna region.
  • Insurance is In case of emergency, Heli evacuation is required. So, obtain insurance from a good company.
  • Don’t Heavy baggage is a burden in the mountains. Take necessary items only.

Food and Health Safety

Food and Health safety is a major concern while trekking in the mountains. It becomes more essential if you are trekking in a remote area where the road is not accessible and health facilities are not sufficient. Some tips to maintain food and health safety are provided here.

  • Drink enough It keeps you hydrated and energized.
  • Eat carbohydrate-rich While trekking, you drain a lot of energy. carbohydrate is a source of energy and helps to keep you fit and ready. So, eat enough carbs for lunch and dinner.
  • Avoid sugary In high altitudes, Sugar can give you a sore throat.
  • Alcoholic beverages can trigger Altitude Sickness. So, if you prefer alcohol for enjoyment, it’s a big no.
  • Eat healthy foods. Fruits and enough veggies are important. They make your meal
Insurance Requirements

Insurance is important especially when you are trekking in the higher elevations that involves the risk and uncertainty due to extreme climate and high altitude. While trekking in the Annapurna region, having insurance helps in case of emergency. Insurance that covers medical and evacuation charges is important if you are trekking in the remote mountains of Nepal.
