Day 1. Arrival in Yerevan

Arrival at Zvartnots International Airport.

Transfer to the hotel and check-in.

In the evening, enjoy a guided city tour of Yerevan — one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities. Discover Republic Square, the Cascade Complex, the Opera House, and the vibrant atmosphere of Armenia’s capital.

Overnight in Yerevan.

 

Day 2. Yerevan – Mt Parakatar – Artavan – Goris

After breakfast, we depart for Ughedzor village, where our hiking adventure begins.

From here, we ascend to Mount Parakatar (2,528 m), surrounded by magnificent mountain landscapes and untouched nature.

Our hike ends at the beautiful Al Lake — a unique mountain lake whose shape resembles the world map when viewed from above.

After lunch in Vayk, we continue our journey south to the Syunik region and arrive in the charming town of Goris.

Dinner and overnight at a guesthouse.

Day 3. Goris – Khot – Shinuhajr – Halidzor – Tatev – Eghegis

In the morning, we drive to the starting point of today’s hike.

We begin our trek from the abandoned village of Old Khot to Shinuhayr village — a route often called the “Armenian Machu Picchu” because of its dramatic canyon landscapes and ancient stone ruins hidden among the cliffs.

After the hike, we continue by car to the magnificent Tatev Monastery, one of Armenia’s most remarkable medieval spiritual centers.

You will also have the opportunity to ride the world’s longest reversible cable car, “Wings of Tatev,” offering breathtaking views over the Vorotan Gorge.

Lunch will be served in a local guesthouse in Shinuhayr.

Later, we travel to Yeghegis village.

Day 4. Yeghegis – Smbataberd – Martuni – Lake Sevan

Today we hike to the impressive Smbataberd Fortress, one of Armenia’s best-preserved medieval fortresses.

Standing high above the Yeghegis Gorge, the fortress offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.

After reaching the summit, we descend to the village of Artabuynk and continue our journey through the Vardenyants Pass, where the famous medieval Orbelian (Selim) Caravanserai still stands.

After lunch, we head toward the shores of Lake Sevan and arrive at Armenian Camp, where we will spend the night by the lake.

Day 5. Sevan – Artanish – Gosh

After breakfast, we begin our ascent of Mount Artanish (2,461 m), located on a peninsula stretching into the blue waters of Lake Sevan.

The climb rewards us with breathtaking panoramic views of the lake and surrounding highlands.

After descending to the lakeshore, we continue to Gosh village.

Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 6. Gosh – Lake Parz – Gosh Monastery

After breakfast, we drive to the beautiful Lake Parz, hidden deep within the forests of Dilijan National Park.

From here, we begin our scenic hike through dense woodland trails leading to the historic Goshavank Monastery, one of Armenia’s most important medieval cultural and educational centers.

After the hike, we return to Gosh village for a delicious traditional lunch.

Day 7. Gosh – Yenokavan – Lastiver – Vanadzor

Today we travel to Yenokavan village, where our hike begins through the picturesque Khachaghbyur Gorge.

Following forest trails and wooden paths along the river, we reach the mysterious Lastiver Caves — a hidden natural wonder known for its waterfalls, caves, and legends.

After the hike, we continue to Vanadzor, Armenia’s third-largest city.

Day 8. Vanadzor – Kobayr – Odzun – Aragats village

After breakfast, we drive to Tumanyan village and begin our hike to the 12th-century Kobayr Monastery, beautifully hidden among the cliffs and forests of northern Armenia. After visiting the monastery, we continue to the historic village of Odzun, famous for its ancient basilica and peaceful mountain atmosphere.

Later, we head toward Aragats village.

Day 9. Mount Aragats Southern Peak – Yerevan

Today is one of the most exciting days of the tour.

We drive to Lake Kari (3,200 m), a beautiful volcanic lake located on the slopes of Mount Aragats.

From here, we begin our ascent to the Southern Peak of Mount Aragats (3,889 m), the highest mountain in Armenia.

Aragats is a four-peaked extinct volcano, with its highest summit reaching 4,090 m.

From the summit, breathtaking views open over the volcanic crater, the surrounding mountains, and, on clear days, the majestic Mount Ararat.

After the descent, we enjoy lunch before returning to Yerevan.

Dinner and overnight in Yerevan.

Day 10. Departure

Depending on your flight schedule, our driver will transfer you to the airport.
