About Us

Welcome

The club was founded in 2014. Since that year, we have been the official partner of the Armenian Federation of Alpinism and Mountain Tourism. After 1 year, in 2015, we became the dynamically developing club of the year. During these years, we have carried out more than 1000 hikes, mountain climbs and expeditions both in Armenia and abroad. We continue to discover the new Armenia and the Armenian highland to date.

OUR GOAL

Our country is endless and many cannot imagine where the miracle called Armenia begins and ends. We want to open the doors of this wonder to you and show you everything that is beyond your imagination.
Armland Adventure Club was founded in 2014, the club aims to develop tourism in Armenia, especially its eco and extreme destinations, by introducing the population of Armenia, especially young people, to the Armenian highlands, beautiful natural places and historical monuments. All people who love to travel, have adventures and be in harmony with nature can join us.

PRTECTED NATURE

Introducing the “ArmLand Protected Nature” Project—an exciting new initiative focused on organizing expeditions to Armenia’s reserves, sanctuaries, and national parks. The goal is to showcase Armenia’s unique flora and fauna to a broader audience.

Armenia’s protected areas are rich in biodiversity and ecosystems. For example, Arpi Lake National Park hosts the world’s largest Armenian crane colony and Armenia’s only curled pelican habitat.

With its natural and cultural heritage, our country is a true paradise. Using our expertise and resources, we aim to share its wonders with the world.

THE NAME AND LOGO

The three symbols of Armenia are depicted on the logo. The Armenian Highlands, the eagle and the sun.

At the heart of the logo is an eagle (or image of an eagle) flying over the mountains at sunrise, symbolizing freedom when you reach the top of the mountain.

ARTYOM

Founder-Mountain Guide

Hello to you. I am Artyom. A man who devoted most of his life to travel, expeditions and discoveries. I graduated from the Armenian-Russian Slavonic University, the Department of Tourism in 2011. I am a lecturer of “The Adventurous Torism” subject in the same university.

I am the founder of ArmLand. Since 2014, the club has been active in mountaineering both in Armenia and abroad. In addition to being the head of the club, I am also the mountain guide of the club. I have 5000+ logged climbs like Ararat, Elbrus and Kazbegi, Damavand, Kilimanjaro. This site represents everything that makes up my daily life. I believe that every person should seek new adventures, get out of their usual and everyday environment, break the molds in which they inadvertently find themselves, and discover their true identity. I have done it and do it by traveling.

Hello, I am Sona, the guide of the ArmLand team. I graduated from the Yerevan State University of Cinematography with a degree in acting, and the Yerevan State Academy of Fine Arts with a degree in art history.
My great love for nature led me to the mountains. Here I found harmony, freedom, and boundless beauty. In the mountains, you see the world on a cosmic scale, you overcome yourself, and each time you discover new challenges.
Nature is a loyal friend, and life in the mountains always remains beautiful and full of mysteries.

HOVHANNES

Mountain Guide

Hello! I’m Hovhannes, a big mountain enthusiast and one of the mountain guides in the Armland team. High mountains have been my motivation since 2019.

Apart from mountains, I also enjoy paragliding and rope jumping. Thanks to my work, I can do what I love and earn a living from it — isn’t that fantastic?

MAYA

Mountain Guide

Hello! I’m Maya, a guide with the Armland hiking club. I graduated from Yerevan Basic State Medical College as a nurse and also studied at the Little Aesthetic Medicine Center as a cosmetologist.

In addition to that, I am also a “professional” mom. 😊

The call of the mountains found me six years ago, and since then, they have become my soul’s sanctuary. In the mountains, I find self-purification, endless energy, and renewed strength. My highest conquered peak is Mount Ararat at 5,137 meters.

Every moment spent in the mountains reminds me that life is full of great challenges and beautiful moments.

Tigran

Mountain and Ski Guide

Hello! I’m Tigran, a mountain and ski guide with the Armland team. I’m a proud father of three wonderful children.

I’ve climbed 5000m+ peaks such as Ararat, Kazbek (10x), Elbrus, Damavand, and several technical 4000m+ mountains. Currently, I am developing Skimo Alpinism (ski mountaineering) as a sport in Armenia.

I’d be happy to meet you in the mountains!
