Mount Dimats is a part of the Ijevan Mountains, which are located in the Tavush region. The length of the mountains is 32 km, the highest point of which is 2507 m. (Mount Sartsapat). And the height of Mount Dimats is 2387m.
Mount Dimats is part of the Dilijan National Park. The road to the mountain in a forested area, and if you go through the eastern part, you can visit the “hidden waterfall” named Shagot. It’s height is 46m. It comes out through the rock, and its color seems to take on a sky blue hue.
In the valley towards Dimats there is a pasture, and if you are lucky, you can meet a herd of beautiful horses.
The top of Mount Dimats is covered with alpine meadows, behind which there is a cliff. Standing at the top of mount, you get the feeling that you are standing on the edge of the Earth, and in cloudy weather, when the clouds are below the mountain, you feel as if you are soaring in the sky
