SKI TOUR IN ARMENIA 7 DAYS / 6 NIGHTS

7 days of ski touring adventure in Armenia. The mesmerizing sceneries from Mount Hatis, Mount Ara, Mount Aragats, Mount Bujakan and Mount Teghenis will leave you in awe.

DAY 1. ARRIVAL

Arrival in Yerevan.
Transfer to the hotel.
Feel free to rest and prepare for the upcoming ski touring adventure.

Overnight in Yerevan.

DAY 2. SKI TOUR: MOUNT HATIS 2529 m (ELEVATION GAIN: 530 m, 3.5 hours)

Today we head to the northeast of the country. Our ski tour takes us to Mount Hatis, known for its wide, smooth slopes that promise an excellent skiing experience.

From the summit, we enjoy inspiring panoramic views before descending. After the ski tour, we visit the Hellenistic Temple of Garni, dramatically located on the edge of the Azat Gorge.

In the evening, a private Armenian house in the village of Garni will be welcoming us for dinner, where we experience traditional hospitality and cuisine. Afterwards, we return to Yerevan.

DAY 3. SKI TOUR: MOUNT ARA 2575 m (ELEVATION GAIN: 950 m, 3 hours)

Mount Ara rises about 20 km northwest of Yerevan. The route offers open forests and a wide ridge with ideal ski slopes, allowing for a steady and enjoyable ascent.

From the summit, looking south, we can admire Mount Ararat (5165 m), while to the northwest the four peaks of Mount Aragats come into view, its highest summit reaching 4,090 m.

DAY 4. SKI TOUR: MOUNT ARAGATS — SOUTH SUMMIT 3879 m

The most challenging and rewarding day of the journey lies ahead. We begin our ascent from the village of Aragats at approximately 2000 m. A snowmobile transfer takes us up to 2650 m, from where we continue on skis.

We climb about 1200 m to reach the South Summit of Armenia’s highest mountain. In clear weather, breathtaking views open over much of Armenia, including Mount Ararat and even the peaks of the Greater Caucasus, with Mount Kazbegi (5047 m) visible in Georgia.

Note: Ski touring on Mount Aragats requires stable snow conditions and good weather. In case of unfavorable conditions, an alternative destination will be chosen.

DAY 5. SKI TOUR: MOUNT BUJAKAN 2806 m (ELEVATION GAIN: 820 m, 4,5 hours)

After the demanding previous day, today’s program is designed to be more relaxed. We start with a visit to a medieval church before beginning our ski tour on Mount Bujakan, known for its pleasant slopes and scenic surroundings.

After the tour, we head to Aghveran National Park, Armenia’s main ski resort area.

DAY 6. SKI TOUR: MOUNT TEGHENIS 2854 m (ELEVATION GAIN: 900 m, 5 hours)

Our final ski tour begins through forested terrain and continues across open alpine slopes as we ascend toward the summit of Mount Teghenis. Even during the climb, anticipation builds for the descent — fresh powder and untouched slopes await us below.

DAY 7. DEPARTURE

Transfer to the airport.
Departure from Armenia.
