WINTER CULTURAL TRIANGLE
DAY 1. YEREVAN – ETCHMIADZIN – GARNI – GEGHARD – YEREVAN
Trip to Etchmiadzin.
Visit to the Mother See of St. Etchmiadzin Cathedral (303 AD)
Etchmiadzin is the spiritual capital of Armenia. During the trip, tour participants will be able to see churches and temples built in different historical periods.
Visit to the treasury of Etchmiadzin.
Trip to the Geghard cave monastery (Spear monastery, XII-XIII centuries)
Inspection of the Geghard monastery
Trip to the village of Garni
Visit to the pagan Temple of the Sun (1st century AD)
Lunch with a masterclass of lavash (we will bake lavash in a tonir)
Return to Yerevan.
Overnight in Yerevan.

DAY 2. YEREVAN – KHOR VIRAP – ARENI – NORAVANK – YEREVAN
Trip to the Khor Virap monastery at the foot of Mount Ararat.
Inspection of the monastery (IV-XVII centuries).
Trip to the village of Areni.
Visit to a winery with wine tasting.
Trip to the Birds’ cave where the oldest winery in the world was found.
Trip to Noravank Monastery.
Inspection of the monastery (XIII-XIV centuries).
Lunch in the village of Areni.
Return to Yerevan.
Overnight in Yerevan.

DAY 3. YEREVAN – LAKE SEVAN – DILIJAN – YEREVAN
Trip to Dilijan, which is considered as a touristic hot-spot of Armenia.
Walk through the center of old Dilijan.
Trip to Lake Parz (Crystal Lake).
Lake inspection.
Trip to Haghartsin Monastery.
Inspection of the Haghartsin Monastery (X-XIII centuries).
Trip to Lake Sevan.
Lunch. Here you will have the opportunity to taste the famous fish of Sevan – Ishkhan.
Inspection of the Sevanavank monastery on the peninsula (IX century).
Return to Yerevan.
Overnight in Yerevan.
